My Story
An Adventure Around The World
My story begins when I was just 9 years old, and my family took me on a year-long adventure around the globe. From camping in the African wilderness to trekking to Everest Base Camp, those experiences shaped who I am today—more open-minded, empathetic, and resilient.
2004 - 2015
Pursuing a Passion for Design
After returning from a year of global adventures with my family, I channeled my love for travel into creative pursuits, helping with the Earth Trekkers travel blog and inspiring others to explore the world. In middle and high school, my passion for art shone through, earning me a Scholastic Art Award for a series based on our travels, and later, I painted a 60ft mural at my high school to boost school spirit. When it came time to choose a college, I followed my passion for creativity over the pressure to pursue engineering, leading me to SCAD, where I discovered my calling in User Experience Design (UXD).
2015 - 2022
An Amazing Experience at SCAD
My time at SCAD has been incredible, filled with collaborative projects like Cheers and close friendships with talented UX students who have supported my growth. I’ve taken on leadership roles, including project manager for a SCADpro course, where I lead a team of 16 designers to create a proof of concept for Deloitte. As a mentor to UX and graphic design students, and an officer in the Future Leaders of UX club, I guide and empower students by organizing events and offering 1:1 sessions. My involvement in design challenges and class successes has allowed me to become a role model for my peers.
2022 - Present
In My Free Time
When I'm not working, I love traveling, hiking, running, reading, and painting, always seeking new experiences that enrich my design perspective. I recently started competing in triathlons, and I have a dream of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, a two-month journey from New Mexico to Washington State.
